The Peanut Farmer Strikes Again…

How is it that a “Southern gentleman” who failed miserably as a leader of this great country continues to be a big hairy thorn in our backsides? Once again, Jimmy Carter has decided to step up and give the United States another black eye with his divisive words, this time by playing the 'race card' and trying to give President Barack Obama a built-in excuse for failure and exemption from criticism…

Oops, I said ‘black’ eye - does that make me a racist, Jimbo?

If you haven’t heard, former President Jimmy Carter has come out and condemned South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson’s now-infamous “You lie!” outburst by labeling it as racism, pure and simple. Was Mr. Wilson (hold your ‘Dennis The Menace’ jokes) out of line? Absolutely. Was he rude? No doubt. Was he being a racist? Abso-freaking-lutely not.

What Carter is doing is making excuses for Obama (even when none are really required…yet). He’s trying to give Barack a preemptive “Get Out Of Jail Free” card to use if he doesn’t fix the economy or if he messes up the health care system; according to Jimbo, our current President can’t be taken to task for his mistakes because anyone who would do so would be an out-and-out racist…

Dang it, I used the word ‘jail’ while talking about an African-American - am I a racist now because Mr. Carter would (incorrectly) see my ‘Monopoly’ analogy as an implication that all black people are criminals?

Simply put, this ‘race card’ garbage needs to stop now on ALL levels. It’s particularly embarrassing when it comes from a former President, but the mass media are just as guilty. Look at the disgusting comments made by African-American tennis champion Serena Williams in the semifinals of the 2009 U.S. Open. She threatened to kill a female Japanese line judge and was given the equivalent of a slap on the wrist by the USTA and the U.S. Open (a whopping $10,500 fine for a multi-millionaire). Where’s the indignation and outcry for justice from CNN, ESPN, the Japanese community, and the American public at large? Can you say double standard?

Silly me. I forgot that playing the ‘race card’ isn’t a two-way street. No wonder I’m so bad at poker…

I was off creating this political cartoon...Congress irk's me. (Since this posting pertains to our skewed justice system as well as pro sports, I figured Big Ben would be cool with me sharing my latest "Sports Frenzy 2.0" rant with you...)

Let’s get this out right now. I have no sympathy for Michael Vick, Plaxico Burress, or Donte Stallworth. I’m tired of a different set of judicial standards for pampered professional athletes (as well as movie stars, rich heiresses with tiny dogs, etc.), so I applaud the NFL’s indefinite suspension of Stallworth and the same rumored punishment that may be coming down the pipes for Vick and Burress...

This is black and white (and spare me the bigoted ‘race card’ babble – any player of any skin color should be punished with equal severity). Vick condoned dogfighting on his property. Stallworth killed another human being with his car while intoxicated. Burress took a loaded firearm into a public place and allowed said gun to discharge.

If you or I had done any of the three aforementioned illegal acts, we would be avoiding a shower bend-over for a long, long time. In addition, when we finally got out of jail, our former employers would most likely not let us come back to work. You see, there’s that little box you have to check on a job application…you know, the one asking if you’ve ever been convicted of a felony? If you check that box and supply the subsequent detail, your application is 99.9% guaranteed to be food for the paper shredder...

So why should we cry and whine about denying these three detestable men their ‘right to earn a living’? Let them hop from the cracked pavement of a grungy street corner into the back of a rusty pickup truck at 6 AM and get them to mow lawns or do drywall. Why should their athletic gifts allow them to automatically start earning millions of dollars again the minute our justice system has finished giving them a slap on the wrist? The simple, logical answer…they shouldn’t. Giving someone a ‘second chance’ doesn’t mean giving them a free pass back onto Easy Street. Rehabilitation shouldn’t include an immediate return to swigging Dom Perignon and owning automatic weapons. Let the hammer come down...hard.

Let me start off my initial posting for the great & glorious BBBC by thanking Big Ben for adding me in as a contributor. He has been a loyal follower & gratis sponsor of my YouTube sports show (http://www.youtube.com/SportsFrenzy2) as well as an initial follower of my new blogs (http://sportsfrenzy2.blogspot.com & http://frankensteinvice.blogspot.com) so I wish him nothing but success with his “Bombastic” new undertaking!!!

Now, on to my first political rant…like Big Ben, I claim no affiliation with a political party. I don’t care if you’re Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, or Pomeranian. If you show me common sense and an inherent ability to sway lobbyists to kiss your nether regions, I’ll vote for you (here’s your pimp, Dave – “The Conquistador in 2012!!!”)...

I really hope Barack Obama succeeds as President. To wish otherwise would make me a foolish American. We should hope that each and every President who takes office, regardless of whether or not we voted for him or her, does well. However, the playing field is never level, thanks to the media. If you dislike a Democratic candidate, you’re automatically pigeonholed as an ultra-conservative, Limbaugh-loving Republican moneygrubber by CNN. If you have issues with a Republican candidate, you’re a pot-smoking, gender-bending hippie according to Fox News. Last time I checked, the people of the United States can walk into a McDonald’s and easily choose from roughly a dozen or so entrée options without the assistance of Rachel Maddow or Bill O’Reilly (provided the menu is posted in Spanish as well as English...another day, another diatribe). Why then does our all-important political system & our media insist that you’re either a donkey or you’re an elephant...otherwise you’re a jackass???

Let’s look at the ‘secret’ negotiations of the Obama administration with the health care industry as an example of how we have let the left-leaning media tell us how we better kiss Barack’s ass...or else. With the economy in shambles (and not getting much better, taking the June 2009 stock market numbers into account), the Prez that all the chicks would love to bang (hey, if his buck-nasty wife is in the Maxim Hot 100, ‘B.O.’ must be topping the “Better Homes & Gardens” list of men that frigid housewives everywhere would love to see in nothing but a BBQ apron!) has decided to ‘fix’ the American health care system by taking the typical Democratic path…help the poor & elderly and make the middle pay for it. Wait, that’s unfair…the rich would pay, but THEY CAN STILL AFFORD IT!!! The middle class is currently working multiple jobs when not getting laid off just to make ends meet, but the new Medicare drug plan Obama’s people are touting helps only the elderly (no offense intended to those who have made it this far in life, but would you have liked it if the tables were turned 30 years ago?)...

Meanwhile, ‘many health industry leaders’ are being asked by the Obama administration to reduce health spending by $2 trillion over the next decade, according to an AP report. Pardon me for not towing the company line, but wouldn’t health care providers just cut jobs and services to meet that goal? Does Obama think $2 trillion will just magically disappear with a wave of The Health Care Fairy’s wand? As I have discussed with Big Ben and others at our Max & Erma’s roundtable every week, the answers lie in regulating frivolous lawsuits and extravagant insurance premiums. Everyone wins if attorneys can’t ambulance-chase and insurance providers charge reasonable rates for decent policies. Unfortunately, it looks like this administration will take the easy way out...again.

So buckle up, kids. It’s going to be a bumpy four years (hopefully, not eight). While Prez Obama takes his wife out on yet another date night at the taxpayers’ expense and Keith Olbermann proclaims that the ‘First Couple’ are the most important entities ever to grace the Milky Way, our country will continue to crumble. G.W. Bush started our downfall (with a not-so-inconsiderable push from the Clinton administration), but make no mistake…Obama has done NOTHING to make things better to this point. I truly hope he does find a way to steer us into peaceful waters, but gas prices are rising again, the auto industry has officially collapsed with GM’s bankruptcy…and the Prez seems more concerned with appearing at sporting events than with our well-being...

When G.W. acted like that, he was a charlatan. Obama does it, and he’s a saint. Go figure...

"An Open Letter to our Nation's Leadership" And Petition

I was listening to Rush the other day, ranting about our new diety,"the Obama". Now I listen to Rush from time to time, but it doesn't make me a follower. I listen to Lou Dobbs, and my Man, Mr. Stand up for America, Glenn Beck....

I'm not conservative, liberal, democrat or republican.... I'm for what makes sense for the United States of America..... I agree these are some DARK TIMES. We are at a crossroads.... We can sink like a rock, or we can ascend to new heights. The decision is ours...will we go the way of the Roman Empire, or will we stand up, and kick those, who no longer represent the will of the people out of office.

Folks...IT IS TIME TO CLEAN HOUSE. Our elected officials are here to serve their constituents, and the country, but instead, our congressmen, senators, even down to our mayors in local government, all seem to feel, we the people, are here to serve them, and pad their wallets at our expense. How come they can have the best healthcare programs, work for what seems to be a fraction of the time the common american puts into a work week, and still feel like they are underpaid. It should a priviledge, an honor, an awesome responsibility to represent us, the people, the "legal" taxpaying residents of the United States of America.

We got 'til the next set of elections to organize, and 'git er done. Starting in 2010, we can vote out the greedy demagogs, and replace them with honest people with a common man's background. No more of societies elite. We don't need those born with a silver spoon in their mouths. We need people who know what it is to work for a living, who know the falling value of the dollar. Real People Dammit! Not those that seem to inherit their positions, due to influential political family ties. It is time for the family political dynastys to end, and to elect officials who will start putting America, and Americans first, before themselves...Are there any of you out there?

China First? (What the hell? Seems like I once heard of something similar, called America First). China ain't dumb folks. Somethings up. They are hording all the gold they can buy. What do they know that we don't, or that our government is keeping from us? Is there a collapse coming that signals our DOOM! There JUST WELL MAY BE, if other countries view themselves as first, and we continue to cater to them, instead of thinking about ourselves first. We preach America First. China practices China first.

I'm just disgusted with politics, our elected officials, broken promises, business as usual. So Iam going to stop for now. Before I leave I am going to share some information I picked up from Glenn Beck. It has to do with much of what I was speaking about moments ago, and it involves
something called "THE LETTER" which is circulating around the internet.

Patriotic Americans are willing to do right by us and our Constitution and that is all that matters to us now. We are going to fire all of you who abuse power and seek more. It is not your power. It is ours and we want it back. We entrusted you with it and you abused it. You are dishonorable. You are dishonest. As Americans we are ashamed of you. You have brought shame to us. If you are not representing the wants and needs of your constituency loudly and consistently, in spite of the objections of your party, you will be fired. Did you hear? We no longer care about your political parties. You need to be loyal to us, not to them. Because we will get you fired and they will not save you. It's just CRAP!

I was watching the news earlier, getting depressed. Later I watched Lou Dobbs, talking about the President, his actions, and world events, and about health benefits provided through the job... how they now want to tax you for that..... I stopped to think a moment about campaign promises... clear, consise...this is what I'm gonna do for you... How that seems to change slightly over time.

Now we are hearing things like Obama being likend unto a "god". I don't hold to that... In fact I don't see a hell of a lot of change, outside of times are still tough, and the world is getting tougher... I guess it's politics as usual.

You can cover it's scent with perfume. You can dress it up to look like something it's not. You can pass it on as something of value... but in the end, well... a piece of shit is just a piece of shit.

Anyway then the government comes along and gives our taxmoney away to wealthy Wallstreet types, Banks, etc...blah,blah,blah...... Thanks alot...give it t me, get the IRS off my back for my insignificant several thousand dollars, and I'll spend that money and stimulate the economy...let me try and relaunch my small business and maybe even put people to work some day.... no,no,no,no...it don't work that way.... rich still get richer..... God Help Us people... we are getting sooooooo screwed....if you ain't there yet, (and you ain't super wealthy) you will be there unless things change...... I tell you what... with all the money we owe and are barrowing from China, forget learning spanish....better make Chinese the number one language, let alone English....

Well sorry about that...got off topic..... it just disgusts me.... anyway...Ladies and Guys...back to that one of a kind gift..... What could be more personal than a lovely clock or collage print made from a composite of your most meaningful photos.
